GREAT NEWS for the turf cutters, the bog owners and the people of Ireland

Posted on 1:34 PM by Unknown

Some news from the turf-cutters.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barroughter-Clonmoylan-Bogs-Action-Group/195445003875984

“GREAT NEWS for the turf cutters, the bog owners and the people of Ireland. Once again the West is Awake. Carrownaguppal Bog near Mountbellew, Co. Galway was held up high by the NPWS, Jimmy Deenihan, Ciaran Cannon and the Kenny Government as their model bog for relocation and how to brow beat bog owners from their private property bogs. In the week when EU Commissioner  Janez Potočnik was in Ireland the good people of Mountbellew and surrounding areas went back from their so called relocation bog and CUT TURF ON THEIR OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY BOG. Well done to all concerned. We hope that the Commissioner spotted the ineptitude of the NPWS and Deenihan - neither of whom want a settlement. More details later.”

State Aggression in Clonmoylan

Posted on 7:42 AM by Unknown

The 20th and 21st of June will mark the first anniversary of what has become known as the Siege of Clonmoylan. See below for a report on events of 20/21 June 2012.

That the Armed Support Units were present is a disgrace in itself. The month of May, the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary is also the month when the Irish people recall the executions of the patriots of 1916. Did these men, the cleanest and bravest, fight and die only for the Irish to be living in an oligarchy, the servile state, where people are slaves? Are the Irish going to sit back and be dictated to by unelected bureaucrats in the EU, whose only loyalty is to International Finance and big business?

You are encouraged to ask questions of your local politician. They knocked on your door at the last election. By using this link http://www.contact.ie/city-county-councils/galway-county-councillors you can email all the county councillors in Galway. Also phone them and speak to them face to face.  For All TDs http://www.contact.ie/national-politicians/contact-all-tds

Never, in the history of peacetime Ireland was such State aggression shown against a small rural parish as was carried out by two Fine Gael Ministers, Alan Shatter and Jimmy Deenihan in Clonmoylan on June 20th and 21st last year. These two men would do well to reflect on the principles and ideals of the great people who founded our Nation. Over the years, no Garda ever had to visit this tranquil rural law abiding community to investigate crime. The only Garda mode of transport not in Clonmoylan that night was the helicopter and the Peelers on Horseback. The two fully loaded Armed Support Units were deployed against innocent people. The right of every Irish citizen to pass and repass on the roadway was infringed that night. Such State aggression that night put an end to good Garda Community Relations. They even called out the Red Community Relations van to help steal the machinery.

Spy Planes in Galway!

Posted on 1:23 PM by Unknown

Spy Planes

Barroughter & Clonmoylan Bogs Action Group

“This type of Cessna plane is used by the NPWS every day of the week to spy on our people as they go about their work. We have recorded this plane flying NINE times a day over our bogs and private homes.

To fly this plane, with a crew and 2 NPWS on board costs €1,200 per hour. It flies 12 hours a day over our people at a daily cost of €14,400. This is a weekly cost of €100,800.”

NPWS ‘Rangers’ and the Black and Tans!

Posted on 6:42 AM by Unknown

Two photographs of scenes from the 2006 film, The Wind That Shakes the Barley. A modern day type of Black and Tan is trying to intimidate people in Galway. These ‘rangers’ are doing the dirty work of the European Union and trying to make criminals out of rural Irish people.

Turf cutting is under attack, a rural way of life is under attack, Tradition is under attack. You have spy planes flying over homes of people.

With turf to be cut, it is necessary to keep these ‘rangers’ out of your private property. There are laws against trespass and a God given and constitutional right to private property.

As shown in Loughrea on Wednesday, people still have common sense, the common sense and conviction to stand up for what is right and oppose what is wrong.

How Domestic Turf Cutting Works?

Posted on 11:58 AM by Unknown

Comment:Thought and Action fully supports private property and the rights of the plot holder to cut turf for their families. The families have experienced remarkable harassment from NPWS ‘Rangers’, who seem to believe they can trespass on private land. The turf cutters and 900 families are no criminals.

Whilst I haven’t ever cut turf, I have worked at bringing home turf and rural people are for the environment. This attempt to criminalise 900 families is an attack on rural Ireland and a way of life. It’s bad enough, they are now trying to tax the family home never mind attempting to criminalise families for trying to heat their home and cook meals for their family.

All for EU bureaucrats with no loyalty to Ireland or her people.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barroughter-Clonmoylan-Bogs-Action-Group/195445003875984

“FOR THOSE WITH LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF HOW DOMESTIC TURF CUTTING WORKS. Each of our 900 families own a bog plot (Private Property) of between .5 and 1.5 acres. Enough turf for a family to heat their homes and cook their meals is cut in this plot. No family cuts a surplus of turf because if their bog plot is gone they will have no turf to get.

The reason why we have got such good bogs in pristine condition is because of the care and conservation measures taken by the families themselves, without any help from the state over the years. On the other hand, vast tracts of raised bog has been plundered by the Irish State but they still have 28,418 hectares of raised bog suitable for preservation in addition to what they will continue to plunder from next Monday morning onwards. No need it appears for the state to preserve its bog but it is alright for the IRISH STATE to try and make criminals of our 900 families in our 3 bogs. In one of our bogs alone, when we scientifically surveyed it, more than 10,000 cubic metres of turf grows annually in that bog. That amount is GREATER than the amount cut by the families in that bog annually.”

Bulgarian government resigns over austerity

Posted on 7:23 AM by Unknown

To show their support with the people it has been reported that riot police put their shields and helmets on the ground.

http://rt.com/news/bulgaria-government-resigns-protests-144/

Bulgaria’s leadership has announced it is planning to resign following mass protests against austerity measures, the country’s prime minister said.

"I will not participate in a government under which police are beating people," Prime Minister Boiko Borisov said. "Every drop of blood is a shame for us."

On Tuesday night, 25 people were hospitalized after demonstrators in capital Sofia clashed with police, shouting slogans against soaring electricity prices in Bulgaria, as well as chanting "Mafia" and"Resign" against the country’s leadership.

Following the violence PM Borisov however indicated that his government has done the best it could over the last four years to deal with the failing economy in Bulgaria, the EU’s poorest country.

On Tuesday, Borisov attempted in vain to calm tens of thousands who staged rallies across Bulgaria against skyrocketing electricity prices. Borisov pledged to diminish prices, sack his finance minister and sanction foreign power companies.

"Our power was handed to us by the people, today we are handing it back to them," Borisov pointed out.

Update on "Constitution Halts District Court"

Posted on 8:28 AM by Unknown

Via the Anti- Eviction Taskforce Facebook page.

“Great start to a new year, Update on "Constitution Halts District Court"
After a commercial "fine" could not be paid due to CORK DISTRICT COURT failing to produce a "Valid" operating license to show where they get there authority from. On the alleged notice the DISTRICT COURT requested payment of a fine to be made on the 19th of December issuing terrible threats if this fine was not paid. But after the failure to produce licensing complaint was made to Gardai, instead on the 19th (day fine was to be paid) we received a letter from Garda Headquarters in Anglesea Street Cork basically saying that the complaint was recognized and gave us advice on how to follow up our complaint, eventually advising us to seek legal advice as we challenge the authority of this DISTRICT COURT.

Yesterday we were in with Gardai again, who told us it is now a civil case and has nothing to do with gardai and wished us the best of luck and told us they like and respect what we are doing, and good on us for standing up for our rights. So we will now be taking this matter further, we would like to actually thank Gardai for there time and patients over the last few weeks as we realize it was the first time Gardai had to deal with a complaint like this and in fairness they could not have been more respectful to us over the last few weeks.

As the DISTRICT COURT also flies the European Union Flag and are the ones who criminally deceive and lie to Gardai to implement EU "Acts" and commercial business policy as being "Law" for financial gain this now also evokes serious questions which need answering about the whole authority of the European Union. Its kind of funny when you think challenging the authority of a parking fine has the potential to crash the entire system of corruption. Please don't fear these Courts anymore, learn from our example stand up for your rights and challenge everything. Hope everyone has a healthy and peaceful 2013”

Ireland 2016 The European Rising Documentary

Posted on 5:52 AM by Unknown

A short documentary looking at the past several years in Ireland

Nearly 100 years on from the Irish Easter Rising, it would be an interesting question to ask what leaders of Ireland's past would say of Ireland today. And just who is to blame here, politicians, bankers or international financial institutions or Irish people? In Oct 2012 a process was put in motion where individuals from every county in Ireland could sue their mortgage providers. The European Union is also in serious danger of going into a recession. Countries such as Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain are facing severe hardship. International financial institutions are only lending to countries like Ireland if the people are taxed heavily to guarantee their loan. This video has no allegiance to any political party in Ireland but rather it's intention is to educate about some of the main issues regarding the recession in Ireland.
