An advisor to Provisional Sinn Fein is implicated in how pro-abortion groups were given information in relation to the deaths of Savita Halappanavar and her unborn child. This has been reported in the Sunday Independent and confirms what has been said previously.
It is important to distinguish she is an advisor to Provisional SF and these are not the true claimants of the historic title of Sinn Fein. SF was formed in 1905 and is not a movement that supported abortion. Provisional SF is not the movement of Arthur Griffith or Aodh De Blácam. Does Stephanie Lord claim to stand in the tradition of Maude Gonne? Early ‘feminists’ certainly opposed abortion.
